TruePoint GPS uses your phone's location for its GPS, compass, saved-location and route-recording features. Britenet Labs does not receive, store, sell or analyse your location data.
Information accessed by the app
TruePoint GPS requests precise and approximate location permission. Location information is processed on your device to display latitude, longitude, altitude and accuracy; correct the compass to true north; calculate distance and bearing; save locations you choose; and record routes you start.
Information stored on your device
Saved locations are stored locally in the app's private storage. Route points are held locally while recording. Britenet Labs cannot view or retrieve this information. You can delete saved locations and clear recorded routes within the app. You can also remove all locally stored app data through Android Settings by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app.
Sharing and export
TruePoint GPS does not automatically transmit your location to Britenet Labs or any Britenet server. If you choose Share, Open Map or Export GPX, Android sends the information to the app, map provider or storage location that you select. Any third-party service you choose operates under its own privacy policy.
Accounts, advertising and analytics
TruePoint GPS has no user accounts, advertising SDKs, analytics, cloud synchronisation or background location tracking. Britenet Labs does not collect, sell or share personal data through the app.
Permissions
Precise or approximate location permission is used for the app's core GPS functionality. You can refuse or withdraw location permission at any time through Android Settings, although GPS-dependent features will then stop working.
Data retention and deletion
Because Britenet Labs does not collect app data on its servers, it has no remote copy to retain or delete. Information stored locally remains on your device until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage or uninstall TruePoint GPS.
Children
TruePoint GPS is a general navigation utility and is not specifically directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the Google Play Data Safety declaration will be updated before the relevant release.
